Monster LED Billboard Advocacy Project Update The City is moving ahead with plans to install 17 Monster LED Billboards around Toronto, including along the Gardiner. These large billboards will pose a serious risk to traffic safety along major roadways in Toronto and will negatively impact the residential neighbourhoods that they are installed in due to their strong brightness during evening and nighttime hours. Be sure to contact the Planning and Growth Committee members before January 5th to tell them your thoughts and concerns regarding the proposal, or to sign up to speak in person on Jan 5th. There is a proposal to remove “paper” billboards and replace them with LED Lit billboards.
These giant light advertisements will be intrusive of our public space, distracting for drivers and will consume a great deal of energy. Come voice your concerns.
